Over the weekend at the farm, the bumblebees were enjoying my coneflowers in the garden. I watched from the swing hanging from a red oak while watching Fergus, my rat terrier and Daisy my little terrier mix puppy romped around and stopped now and again to dig.
When the bumblebees are busy drinking nectar its easy to move in close for a few photos without risk of getting a sting. So, I grabbed my iPhone and crept close to the blossoms for a shot. When you look at the photos closely you can see their furry bodies and shiny black eyes.
Clever little bumblebees.
